Daniel Glantz, M.D. offers comprehensive routine, medical, and surgical eye care for children and adults.  He strongly believes that a surgeon’s commitment and involvement should not end at the completion of surgery.  Dr. Glantz personally provides all care before and after any surgical procedure, and he feels that this is fundamental to the doctor-patient relationship.  Services include the following:

Cataract Surgery- Dr. Glantz has extensive surgical experience employing the most modern techniques.  Same day surgeries are performed at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria.     Wound construction that minimizes post-operative astigmatism, foldable lens implants, topical anesthetic, and "no stitch" techniques are utilized extensively. 

Glaucoma Management-There are 2.5 million Americans with glaucoma.  Dr. Glantz is familiar with the various glaucoma subtypes and tailors treatment accordingly.  The gold standard in eye pressure measurement, not the "puff test", is employed along with a modern visual field analyzer.  Glaucoma lasers and/or surgeries are also performed when required. 

Lasers- A variety of laser procedures are performed on the premises for your convenience.  These include retina lasers for diabetes and retinal holes, "after cataract" lasers, and various glaucoma treatments.

Diabetic Eye Care- The ocular complications from diabetes, including cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy, are assessed, monitored, and treated as necessary.

Dry eye treatment- State of the art techniques are utilized, including tear duct plugging, to help provide relief from burning, irritation, and watering.

Flashes/Floaters- Thorough retina exams are performed to rule out potential complications.  

Lazy eye treatment- Dr. Glantz has considerable experience in the evaluation and treatment for "lazy" and "wandering" eyes.

Trauma/Injuries- Dr. Glantz has trained at some of the busiest trauma centers in the nation and has extensive expertise in the medical and surgical management of ocular trauma.

Comprehensive exams for adults/children- State-of-the-art equipment is utilized to evaluate the ocular health of your entire family.  

Retinal Photography- Retinal angiography and photography are performed using the latest technology.
